Joe has been a dedicated professional in the securities and financial industry since 2003. He earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Georgia, graduating summa cum laude with highest honors in finance. He was in the inaugural class of Leonard Leadership Scholars, and he is a Certified Financial Planner™ professional (CFP®).

Joe spent his childhood in the small town of Jasper, GA, nestled in the north Georgia mountains. Today, he lives in Columbus, GA, with his wife, Vickie, and their two daughters, Katie and Lynn.

When not in the office, Joe enjoys spending time with family and being outside, whether it's hiking, cycling, tennis, or playing golf (though he readily admits that he's not very good at it). He also has a passion for music and enjoys concerts and sporting events, especially UGA football games. He also enjoys plays, movies, and playing cards and board games.

Joe has always been actively involved in his community.  He is a 2010 graduate of Leadership Columbus, and he is a Past President of The Rotary Club of Columbus.  His family is very active in ministry through his church, First Baptist Church of Columbus, where Joe serves as a Deacon and a Sunday School teacher. Additionally, he is an active volunteer with United Way of the Chattahoochee Valley.

While in college, Joe initially pursued a degree in biological engineering, driven by a desire to study genetics and find a cure for cancer. Although he excelled in his coursework, he soon realized that his outgoing personality was better suited to more interactive roles. During a part-time job as a teller at Jasper Banking Company, he witnessed the positive impact the bank had on the community.  During a Christmas open house event his freshman year, he felt God’s calling to shift his focus to financial services. Upon returning to UGA, he changed his major to finance and transferred to the Terry College of Business.

The moment he made this decision, Joe noticed a change in his surroundings—flowers were blooming, the sun was shining, and people were smiling. He felt this was confirmation that he was on the right path. After graduation, he joined the management training program at Synovus, where he later served as an assistant retail branch manager and loan officer. After two years, he obtained his securities licenses and transitioned into his role as a financial advisor.

Joe's Christian faith is a cornerstone of his life. While he doesn't feel called to the pulpit, he believes that all Christians are called to ministry. He views his financial advisor role as a calling, not just a job. He finds immense value in the relationships he builds and nurtures, often serving as a teacher, coach, and counselor to his clients. Whether celebrating successes or providing comfort during difficult times, Joe strives to offer sound advice with empathy and love.  He looks forward to continuing to serve his clients and their families in a manner that reflects core Biblical values through Servant Path Wealth Partners.
